Below are some of the things families often ask
There’s no such thing as a “silly” question, only a parent trying to feel supported.
A birth doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and immediate postpartum experience. I’m here to help you prepare, feel calm and confident in the birth space, and offer steady care as you transition into parenthood.
I don’t replace your partner or your provider, I support you and your team so everyone feels grounded and informed.
Yes. I support births in hospitals, at birth centers, and in home settings. I work collaboratively and respectfully with medical teams while keeping your emotional needs and birth preferences at the center of my care.
That’s wonderful. My role isn’t to replace your partner, it’s to support both of you. I can guide your partner with comfort techniques, suggest ways to be involved, and offer reassurance so they can stay present and connected without feeling pressure to know everything.
Ideally, families book doula support early in the second trimester to ensure availability, but it’s never “too late” to reach out. If I have space, I’ll gladly walk with you, no matter where you are in your journey.
Prenatal visits are gentle, collaborative sessions where we explore your hopes for birth, talk through comfort techniques, address any fears or concerns, and prepare you (and your partner) for what to expect. It’s your time to feel heard, informed, and supported.
Yes, every package includes at least one postpartum visit. Some packages include additional in-home postpartum sessions to help you rest, recover, and get the guidance you need as you settle in with baby.
Yes. I understand that investing in support is a meaningful decision. I offer flexible payment plans to help make this care more accessible for families who need it. Let’s talk through what works for you.
Most insurance plans don’t yet cover doula support, but many Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) can be used toward services. I’m happy to provide documentation for reimbursement when possible.
That’s completely okay. The best way to move forward is simply to connect. Our free consultation is a calm, pressure-free space to talk through your needs and see if we’re the right fit.
You don’t have to have it all figured out, you just have to take the next step.
